Miami Valley Child Development Centers (MVCDC) proudly serves Dayton as southwest Ohio’s trusted Head Start agency. For 60 years, we’ve provided free and affordable early learning and child care for children from infancy to age five—starting with dedicated support for pregnant women. Expectant mothers receive vital services through our programs, and once their baby turns six weeks old, they can transition smoothly into our early learning options.

Our Kings Highway center, located at 812 Kings Hwy, Dayton, offers a caring, enriching environment designed to meet the needs of infants, toddlers, and their families through our Early Head Start program. We provide both full-day (up to 10 hours) and school-day (up to 6 hours) care options, offering flexibility to support working families, students, and caregivers with varying schedules.

Beyond early education, families at Kings Highway receive wraparound support through a team of Family Support Specialists, Home Visitors, and Coaches who partner with parents to strengthen family stability, financial independence, and long-term success.

Eligibility is primarily based on income—families earning 100% or less of the Federal Poverty Level may qualify. Children in foster or kinship care, experiencing homelessness, or with disabilities may also be eligible.
