Our Early Head Start program provides high-quality early childhood education and infant and toddler care for children from 6 weeks to age 3. Our experienced teachers support your child as they reach important developmental milestones, from talking and sitting up to crawling, walking, and potty training.

What Your Child Will Learn:

What We Offer During Pregnancy:

  • Help finding a doctor or OB-GYN and answering questions about your health and pregnancy.

  • Connection to community resources, including health insurance, housing assistance, and food banks.

  • Free weekly visits in your home or another convenient location.

Support After Your Baby Arrives:

  • Free early learning activities to do with your baby.

  • Assistance getting pediatric care and health insurance for your child.

  • Guidance on breastfeeding, sleep routines, and early childhood development.

  • Help enrolling your child in an MVCDC early learning program if you return to school or work.

Eligibility and Enrollment:

  • Families receiving SNAP benefits or earning 100% or less of the Federal Poverty Level qualify for services.

  • Generally, a mother of 2 must have an annual income under $26,650.

  • Homeless moms-to-be are automatically eligible.
