Every day, MVCDC makes a lasting difference in the lives of young children and their families. Autumn is just one of the nearly 3,000 children we serve every year.
Since she came to MVCDC, Autumn, who is autistic and non-verbal, is “crushing” the goals she has set with our early educators. Mom can’t believe her daughter’s accomplishments, and she gives MVCDC all the credit.
“I couldn’t ask for better teachers,” she says. “They’re the ones who made me see this child is going to be something.”
MVCDC also supports families to become financially stable and create great homes for their children. LaKendra was a young single mom and didn’t know where to start as a parent.
She enrolled her son in our infant and toddler program, and she took a job with MVCDC. Listen to her story here.
Twenty-eight years later, she’s still at MVCDC, lifting up families and helping them set and meet goals — everything from going back to school to getting a car. LaKendra is just one of our amazing Difference Makers!
