Miami Valley Child Development Centers (MVCDC) is the dedicated Head Start and Early Head Start provider for families in Springfield, Ohio and Clark County. For over 60 years, we have delivered free and affordable early learning for children from 6 weeks through age five, beginning with crucial support for expectant mothers. Once your baby is six weeks old, they can smoothly enter our Early Head Start programs at our convenient Clark ECEC location (1001 East John Street, Springfield, OH 45505-4205).
Our comprehensive services go beyond education. MVCDC’s Family Support Specialists and Coaches partner closely with Springfield families to foster financial stability and independence. We offer programs with full day, school day, Early Head Start, and specialized Therapeutic Intervention Classroom hours to meet diverse needs.
Eligibility for our free or low-cost enrollment is based primarily on family income (generally 100% of the Federal Poverty Level or less). Children experiencing homelessness, those in foster or kinship care, and those with disabilities are also strongly encouraged to apply.
