MVCDC Metropolis Center: Early Learning in Springfield

Miami Valley Child Development Centers (MVCDC) is proud to serve the Springfield community through our Metropolis Center. Conveniently located in downtown Springfield at 102 W. High Street, our center offers a dedicated Head Start preschool program for children ages three to five.

For over 60 years, MVCDC has provided free and affordable early education that helps young children build a strong foundation for lifelong success. At our 102 W. High Street location, we offer a structured School-Day schedule operating Monday through Friday during the school year, giving children consistent classroom learning that aligns with traditional school calendars.

Beyond early education, our team of Family Support Specialists and Coaches partners directly with Springfield families to foster self-sufficiency, connect caregivers with vital community resources, and promote financial stability.

Eligibility for Free & Affordable Care

Our programs are structured to support local families who need them most:

Income-Based: Families earning 100% or less of the Federal Poverty Level may qualify for free programming.
Priority Enrollment: Children experiencing homelessness, those in foster or kinship care, or children with documented disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
