Program Options & Schedules

Miami Valley Child Development Centers, Inc. offers more than 50 center locations in Montgomery, Clark, and Madison counties. Convenient schedule choices fit most parents' work schedules.

Full Day

Your child will receive high quality care and education through our full day program. Full day care is open for up to six to ten hours per each weekday. The program is open to children ages three to Kindergarten. Full day services are income and eligibility based. Children of parents receiving Publicly Funded Child Care subsidy through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services generally attend free. Some families may have a copayment depending upon family income.

Part Day

Our part day program is available Monday through Thursday each week. It is offered in 3.5 hour sessions, mornings and afternoons, approximately 152 days each year. You may select the session most convenient to your schedule. Part-day slots are typically used by parents who are not working traditional Monday through Friday, 8 to 5 schedule. This program is also suitable for parents who may be involved in classes or training for only a portion of the day. We offer limited transportation services for the part day option.
Early Head Start

Early Head Start is a full day, comprehensive child development program. We offer linguistically and culturally appropriate health, education, and social services to income eligible families. Our customers include children, ages six weeks to three years, and/or pregnant women.

Home Based Care

The Home-Based program option is designed to allow you and your child to work with our home visitors in your home setting. Our home visitor will visit your home for 1.5 hours each week for up to 32 weeks. Group socialization is held twice per month to support your child's development. The home visitor delivers all of the services you and your child would receive through our centers such as health, dental health, nutrition, and mental health. Your child will receive an individualized education program to ensure they are prepared for learning in Kindergarten

Partnerships

To expand the availability and convenience of high quality early development services in the area, we maintain a number of contractual agreements with private child care centers and family child care providers. These centers operate under another business name, but are contracted to deliver our same comprehensive services to eligible children.

Miami Valley Child Development Centers, Inc. has partnered with Dayton Public Schools for additional Head Start services. Part day, double session options are available Monday through Thursday each week. Some sites also offer full day school sessions. Scheduling is generally aligned with the public school calendar. We administer operational oversight and case management services, plus training and technical assistance funding.
